Diving Medical Centre
The Royal Netherlands Navy’s Diving Medical Centre (DMC) is the medical centre of expertise for Dutch divers throughout the Netherlands. The DMC is located in Den Helder.
Diving Centre of Expertise
The tasks of the Diving Medical Centre comprise:
- carrying out medical examinations of Navy divers, submarine crews and sometimes also professional civilian divers and fire service divers;
- providing medical training courses and information regarding diving;
- carrying out scientific research;
- treating victims of diving accidents.

The Diving Medical Centre has a physician, nurse and technical specialists on 24/7 stand-by for treating victims of diving accidents.
