Monitorig compliance with the Web Guidelines

A good monitoring system is indispensable if websites are to comply with the Web Guidelines. How does monitor compliance with the Web Guidelines?

  • Several times per year, independent experts test (sections of) this website for accessibility and design. Do these checks encounter bottlenecks? Then solve these in a sustainable manner.
  • The Public Communication Service (Dienst Publiek en Communicatie/DPC) is responsible for the design quality of this website. DPC has commissioned the Central Audit Service (Audit Dienst Rijk/ADR) to assess whether procedures are in place to support maximum possible compliance with the Web Guidelines.
  • From 2014 onwards, a test programme (the Web Guidelines Monitor) will be run through every quarter to assess whether it complies with the Web Guidelines. The Web Guidelines Monitor is produced and maintained by order of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.
  • The editorial board tests the accessibility of all published content. The board also performs interim checks on the content.
