European Air Transport Command
European Air Transport Command (EATC) is a cooperative arrangement between Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands and Spain. This headquarters determines how military air transport and air-to-air refuelling assets are employed. European Air Transport Command is based at Eindhoven Air Base.
The objective of EATC
EATC’s work is intended to lead to a more efficient use and improved coordination of transport and tanker aircraft.
EATC has a headquarters that oversees all aspects of military air transport. This includes planning and execution of missions, training and flight safety.
The birth of EATC
EATC was established on 1 September 2010. The command changes between the countries.
EATC expansion
In addition to the current participating nations, other nations also have the option to join EATC.
