A look at the Defence news 25 – 31 January
Around 120 Dutch military personnel have arrived at Erbil airport in northern Iraq, where they will assist in the provision of airport security at this international airport. This group is the 1st rotation of the Force Protection company.
Boudewijn Boots new Vice Chief of Defence
On 8 March, Rear Admiral Boudewijn Boots will take over from Lieutenant General Onno Eichelsheim as the Netherlands Vice Chief of Defence. In relation to his new post, Boots, who is currently the Director of Operations with the Defence Staff, will be promoted to the rank of vice admiral on 22 February.
