Room for Ukrainian refugees at Harskamp army barracks
The Netherlands Ministry of Defence has made Harskamp army barracks in Ede available for Ukrainian refugees. The local municipality will be responsible for receiving the refugees. There is room for 800 people at Harskamp.
It is not yet known if and when the available facilities will be used. The EU Member States are to discuss the reception of refugees from the eastern European country on Thursday in Brussels.
Ukrainians are fleeing their country following the large-scale attacks launched by Russia from 24 February onwards.
