New shipment of goods for Ukraine
The Netherlands is sending another shipment of goods to Ukraine. This shipment includes both military and non-military items. It follows a new request for support by Ukraine, which the Dutch government approved. Minister of Defence Kajsa Ollongren informed the Netherlands House of Representatives of this in a letter today.
The goods are in addition to those already provided. The latest shipment includes various military items, supplemented by other goods such as vehicles, combat rations, sleeping bags, laptops and protective clothing.
The shipment was carefully reviewed against EU arms export criteria. In her letter to the House of Representatives, Ollongren also states that she will soon inform them about the outcome of the assessment against the EU Common Position on Arms Exports.
The shipment will be funded from the International Security Budget.
