The Defence organisation and the US Army will soon be sharing information about the requirements regarding the new helicopters to be purchased. This was laid down in writing at Gilze-Rijen Air Base. One of the benefits of the Future Vertical Lift programme is a reduction in costs. The programme also helps to prevent possible underperformance of the aircraft.
Defence discusses Defence White Paper with NATO general
On 21 July, NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander paid a visit to the Netherlands for the first time in 4 years. General Philippe Lavigne was welcomed at the Ministry of Defence in The Hague by the Netherlands Chief of Defence, General Onno Eichelsheim. The recently published Defence White Paper was one of the topics Eichelsheim discussed with Lavigne.
