Commando shot in US dies of injuries
The Dutch commando who was in a critical condition in a hospital in the American city of Indianapolis died of his injuries last night. His family and colleagues were at his side.
He had been shot in the early hours of Saturday morning (local time). 2 of his colleagues were also wounded in the shooting. Their condition is unchanged. They are conscious and able to speak.
The three servicemen are members of the Korps Commandotroepen (Commando Corps). The commandos are in the state of Indiana conducting training. The shooting took place in front of their hotel. They were off duty at the time.
