Europe is to produce 1,000 Patriot air defence missiles. A share of these is destined for the Netherlands. Last week it was announced that the NATO Support and Procurement Agency had awarded the contract on behalf of a coalition of several European countries.

Last surviving Dutch airman of RAF Dutch squadron dies at 104

On 1 January, Second World War veteran André Hissink passed away at the age of 104. He was the last surviving airman of 320 (Netherlands) Squadron, which was part of the British Royal Air Force during World War II.
