Netherlands Minister of Defence Ruben Brekelmans informed the House of Representatives accordingly last week. The Dutch contribution will last until the end of 2026. The deployment of Dutch military personnel will take place on a rotational basis during these two years.
Weapon instructors in training conduct large-scale air combat exercise
The 29 international participants of the Weapon Instructor Course (WIC) have been engaged in a large-scale air combat exercise since last week. This is the final stage of their training as weapon instructors. The final exercise focuses on Large Force Employment and involves the planning and deployment of about 30 aircraft, which will take off one by one. Half of them will simulate an attack, while the other half will simulate shooting down the mock enemy. In this exercise, the course participants from Belgium, the Netherlands and Norway will apply all of the skills they learned during the WIC.
