Defence Cyber Command (DCC) delivers the digital striking power that the Netherlands and the Netherlands armed forces require. It conducts military operations in and via the digital domain, in cyberspace. The DCC carries out its tasks either independently or together with military and civilian partners, thus contributing to peace and security.

The DCC develops digital resources to conduct its operations and support the armed forces in using digital technologies effectively. DCC personnel are specialists in military digital operations. DCC’s three core values underline its work:

  • decisiveness (targeted and agile)
  • expertise (specialist knowledge)
  • connectedness (strong cooperation)

Tasks

DCC’s main task is to plan and conduct armed forces cyberspace operations. That is done by people who are forward thinking, who work closely together, and who are capable of acting decisively in the constantly changing digital world.

The DCC works on the basis of instructions issued by the Netherlands Chief of Defence.
