Joint Force Command
The Netherlands Joint Force Command (NLD JFC) is the headquarters for military operations, working 24/7 to ensure that all military deployments of the Netherlands armed forces proceed as smoothly as possible.
Launched on 4 September 2025, and under the direct command of the Netherlands Chief of Defence, the NLD JFC strengthens military readiness and better prepares the Netherlands for a large-scale conflict on its own territory or that of allies.
1 headquarters for optimum coordination
A single central headquarters puts the armed forces in the best position to plan, coordinate, execute and direct multi-domain operations, in which deployments on land and sea, in the air, and in the cyber domain and in space reinforce each other – for example, deployments involving ships, fighter aircraft, satellites, military police and cyber warfare.
The establishment of Joint Force Command also means that the Netherlands Defence organisation is more closely aligned with the armed forces of allies and partners.
