The Netherlands has allocated € 248 million to manufacture drones for the Ukrainian armed forces. Netherlands Minister of Defence Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius made the announcement last week at a Ukraine Defence Contact Group meeting. The drones will be produced in the Netherlands and Ukraine.

The Netherlands had previously already allocated €135 million to deliver drones in support of Ukraine. An agreement concluded in December will come to fruition in the town of Born, in the southern part of Limburg province. There is now a written agreement that VDL Defentec and the Ukrainian company GreentechHarvest will manufacture the drones at that location. Production of the drones will centre on the Baton and the K4. The Netherlands will subsequently donate the drones to Ukraine.
