Defence Diving Group
The Defence Diving Group carries out diving operations and clears explosive devices found under water. Navy divers also carry out underwater repairs to Navy vessels and search ports for explosives.
Cooperation with the Defence Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service
The Defence Diving Group has intensive cooperation with the Defence Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service (DEODS). Just as the Defence Diving Group, the DEODS’ maritime company is based in Den Helder. The 2 units are therefore able to share specialist underwater equipment.
