The Defence organisation is one of the Dutch government’s biggest investors. Every year, the Defence organisation purchases about € 1 billion’s worth of new materiel. The Materiel and IT Command is responsible for purchasing all materiel, for which it concludes hundreds of contracts regarding a wide range of materiel projects every year. The command is also responsible for selling Defence materiel and provides various ICT services to government organisations.
